Copyright & DMCA
We host what our users upload โ trivia questions, venue logos, TV artwork, profile photos. If something on Trivia Fun infringes your copyright, this page is how you tell us, and what we do about it.
1. Who we are
Trivia Fun is operated by Unfolding Software Inc., an Indiana corporation doing business as Trivia-Fun. We're a service provider under 17 U.S.C. ยง 512, and we've designated an agent with the United States Copyright Office to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement.
We respect copyright and we respond to valid notices. We'd also rather you didn't need this page, so if the issue is something we can sort out with a message, support@trivia-fun.com reaches a person.
2. What we host
Most of what's on Trivia Fun was written by us, but some of it comes from our users. The material a copyright notice would normally concern is:
- Trivia questions a venue wrote or imported.
- Venue logos shown on the TV display.
- Images and video uploaded as between-round TV ads.
- Player profile photos.
- Posts on our community forum at forum.trivia-fun.com.
3. Designated agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
DMCA Agent
Unfolding Software Inc.
320 N Meridian St Ste 823, #215
Indianapolis, IN 46204, United States
Phone: 317-832-4835
dmca@unfoldingsoftware.com
This designation is on file with the United States Copyright Office as registration number DMCA-1079731, effective September 1, 2026, under the service provider name Unfolding Software Inc. Trivia Fun and Trivia-Fun are registered alternate names of that provider, so a notice about anything on this site reaches the right agent.
Email is the fastest way to reach the agent and the one we monitor most closely. Notices sent to any other address may take longer to reach the right person.
4. How to file a notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. ยง 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it โ a direct URL, the venue's room code, or the exact question text.
- Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. ยง 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. That cuts both ways, and we take it seriously in both directions.
5. What happens after we receive a notice
We review it. If it's valid and complete, we remove or disable access to the material, and we tell the user who uploaded it what was removed and why โ including a copy of your notice, which will contain the contact details you provided. If your notice is incomplete we'll usually tell you what's missing rather than ignore it.
If we can't reach the account holder, or the material is already gone, we'll say so.
6. Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, for the Southern District of Indiana), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the material in 10โ14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order.
7. Repeat infringers
We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
8. This page is for copyright only
A DMCA notice starts a specific legal process, and it isn't the right tool for most complaints. If a player picked an offensive name, a venue posted something inappropriate, or you want content removed for a reason that isn't copyright, email support@trivia-fun.com and we'll deal with it โ usually faster, because it doesn't have a statutory procedure attached to it.
Trademark complaints also go to support@trivia-fun.com.
